Connecticut Ceramics Circle Grant Terms and Conditions

 

 

The Connecticut Ceramics Circle (the “CCC”) is pleased to announce that we will offer a Grant or Grants for research or a project in the field of ceramics. Such research or project must further the CCC’s mission “to promote the understanding of pottery and porcelain and to disseminate knowledge about diverse topics in the field of the ceramic arts.”

 

The total funding for the 2023-2024 award or awards will be limited to $2500. The Application is available on the CCC website (here). Completed applications must be received by January 15, 2024. 

 

Applications will be reviewed by the CCC Board of Directors, and all applicants will be notified of the results of the review process by March 15, 2024. Applicants who are offered a Grant (the “Grantee”) must accept or reject the offer within one month of notification of the award.  The final project will be due one year from the date of notification of the award.

 

If the project is not completed to the satisfaction of the CCC at its sole discretion within the time allowed the Grantee must return all grant money to the CCC. Successful completion requires the submission of a written report and high resolution images, all of which may be published in the CCC Newsletter or used on the CCC website and in the CCC social media accounts. The Grantee may also be asked to deliver a lecture to the CCC membership either live or via Zoom, and such Zoom lecture can be recorded. All such recordings will be distributed only to the CCC membership and will not be uploaded to the internet. By acceptance of the Grant the Grantee gives permission for the CCC to use the report and images and for the Zoom lecture to be recorded and distributed all as stated herein. 

 

The applicant must provide written approval of any organization which is involved in or intended to benefit from this project (including but not limited to museums, collections, historic homes, etc.) or which in any way employs the applicant.
